Before you start a Standby failover for your organization, use the Simulate outagetab to test a failover for a specific set of users in your organization. This test checks for upcoming meetings and displays a list of these meetings.

  1. Enter the email addresses of the specific users you want to recreate meetings for.
  2. Enter a mobile number.
  3. Select the service you want to failover: Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, or Telephony
  4. Select Preview outage. This displays a list of all meetings, times, and host names.
  5. Click Simulate outage to confirm that these meetings will be recreated as StarLeaf meetings.
  6. All hosts and invitees receive email invites to the newly created StarLeaf meetings.

In simulate mode, Standby recreates meetings happening in the next hour for these specific users. It will not continue to recreate Teams, Zoom, Webex, or Telephony meetings as StarLeaf meetings after this period.
