StarLeaf app
The StarLeaf app copies the user’s device language setting. For example, if your desktop language is set to French, the desktop app will also set its language to French.
If your device is set to a language which is not yet available in the StarLeaf app, the language defaults to English (US).
Available languages in the StarLeaf app include the following (A-Z):
Chinese (Simplified) | Italian |
Chinese (Traditional) | Japanese |
Czech | Norwegian (Bokmål) |
Danish | Polish |
Dutch | Portuguese (Brazil) |
English (US) | Slovakian |
Finnish | Spanish |
French (France) | Swedish |
German |
StarLeaf Portal
StarLeaf also provides localized emails and end-user pages in the StarLeaf Portal:
- meeting invite emails
- guest user invite emails
- app activation emails
- My profile page on the StarLeaf Portal
- Meetings page on the StarLeaf Portal
StarLeaf provides these Portal pages and emails in multiple languages, including the following (A-Z):
Chinese (Simplified) | German |
Chinese (Traditional) | Italian |
Czech | Japanese |
Danish | Norwegian (Bokmål) |
Dutch | Polish |
English (US) | Portuguese (Brazil) |
Finnish | Spanish |
French (France) | Swedish |
When a user changes their language via the Portal, or when the administrator changes users’ language settings, the affected users need to log out of the Portal and log in again to see the new language.
Changing the language in the Portal does not affect the language setting in the StarLeaf app.
For emails, the email is sent in the language of the inviter, unless StarLeaf knows the language of the receiver, in which case the email is in the correct language for the receiver of the email.
StarLeaf endpoints
StarLeaf endpoints have localizable user interfaces. Available languages include the following (A-Z):
Chinese (Simplified) | German |
Chinese (Traditional) | Italian |
Czech | Japanese |
Danish | Korean |
Dutch | Norwegian (Bokmål) |
English (US) | Polish |
Finnish | Portuguese (Brazil) |
French (France) | Spanish |
French (Canada) | Swedish |
The language for an endpoint is controlled by the StarLeaf Portal. For example, when a user or administrator changes the language for a user or room system in the Portal from English to French, the language on the endpoint will automatically change from English to French.
StarLeaf Room for Windows
During installation, StarLeaf Room for Windows runs in the local PC and Android device’s language but when it is installed and has connected to the StarLeaf platform, StarLeaf Room will adopt the language settings that are configured for the organization or endpoint in the Portal (if they are different to the language settings on the PC or Android device).
StarLeaf Scheduler for Office 365 and StarLeaf for Microsoft Teams
These integrations are available in:
Chinese (Simplified) | German |
Chinese (Traditional) | Italian |
Czech | Japanese |
Danish | Norwegian (Bokmål) |
Dutch | Polish |
English (US) | Portuguese (Brazil) |
Finnish | Spanish |
French (France) | Swedish |
StarLeaf Scheduler for Office 365 invite text
When you schedule a meeting using the StarLeaf Scheduler for Office 365, the meeting invite text is prepopulated with joining instructions:
The invite text is generated in the same language that is set for the meeting organizer’s user profile in the StarLeaf Portal.
A user can choose to set a specific language in their profile. For example, if a user chooses French in the Portal, when they create a meeting using the Scheduler for Office 365, the invite text will be prepopulated in French.
If a user does not set a language, their profile uses the default language that is set for the site. For example, if the site is set to German, the user’s profile and prepopulated invite text will also be in German.
For more information about editing your profile or your organization’s account in StarLeaf Portal, see Edit your own profile and Edit your organization’s account.
