Managing GTm Family GTm releasesLast updated July 4, 2018
These release notes provide you with information about the latest upgrade to StarLeaf GTm. This is a feature release and is effective from January 2018.
Version 1.2.21 does not support GTm 5220. If you have a GTm 5220, contact StarLeaf technical support to upgrade to GTm 5250.
GTm administrators who want to manage their endpoints on the StarLeaf Maestro management platform can contact StarLeaf support for help and information on setting up an account. You need to enable Maestro access on the endpoint through the web interface and re-configure the appropriate settings, including Skype credentials and applied certificates.
For more information about configuring the GTm through the Maestro management platform, start here: Introduction to Maestro.
To upgrade the GTm:
- For Maestro managed GTm, refer to Meeting room management
- If you are not using Maestro to manage your GTm systems, contact StarLeaf Technical Support
There is a new user interface for the GTm Family touch panel known as the Windows 10 interface. The design combines ease of use with familiarity for users of Windows 10.
- Speed dials: Configure up to six speed dials, with icons, to appear on the home screen of the touch panel.
The speed dials are configured using Maestro; the GTm will ignore any favorites that you have configured on the Skype for Business client
- Sharing content: Ability to choose a source for shared content from the touch panel
- Local presentations: The Windows 10 user interface makes it much easier for users to present locally. There is an optional presentation help control on home screen
- Calls: Disable/enable outgoing and/or incoming point-to-point calls on a per-room basis
- Customization: Configure the home screen using Maestro

To configure the touch panel in Maestro, find your meeting room and choose Manage > Settings > Touch Panel > Edit:
From this version, all new GTm room systems will default to the Windows 10 user interface. For existing GTm room systems, use Maestro to configure the touch panel to use the Windows 10 user interface.
GTm room systems now provide beta support for Miracast. Miracast is a technology that allows you to wirelessly mirror the display of your laptop (or other device) to a Miracast-capable receiver (for example a television). GTm room systems now allow you to use Miracast to share your screen either into a video call or to present locally to the room you are in. The GTm acts as the receiver; configure the Miracast name in Maestro: go to Meeting room > Manage > Settings > Edit > WiFi > Miracast Name.
Audio sharing using Miracast is not supported.
GTm users (using the new Windows 10 user interface) can choose to display wireless content from the touch panel of the GTm:
