You can integrate StarLeaf audio, video, and data sharing into your applications. To do so, you simply provide a link for users, which automatically launches a StarLeaf video call.

These links are known as StarLeaf links.

How it works

StarLeaf app registers the starleaf:// protocol on the user device. When a user clicks on a StarLeaf link, this launches the StarLeaf app (if it’s not already running) and then StarLeaf dials the target URI. For example, clicking on

launches the app and dials StarLeaf Support at

Because some client applications do not correctly render links for protocols that they do not recognize, StarLeaf operates an HTTP redirect service for launching StarLeaf calls. The redirect service is available at<dial string>

StarLeaf recommends that you use the redirect service.

Embed StarLeaf links into your applications and see your users automatically launch video calls from within your apps. For example, a link to launch the StarLeaf app and dial StarLeaf Support is:

For backwards compatibility, the Starleaf app also support the now deprecated breeze:// protocol.
