StarLeaf can enable organizations to join Microsoft Teams video meetings from StarLeaf meeting rooms and huddle spaces using BlueJeans Gateway.

To request a PoC or to order the gateway integration for MS Teams, contact your StarLeaf partner or StarLeaf sales representative.

About the gateway integration

This page contains information about setting up the Microsoft Teams BlueJeans gateway on your organization’s tenancy. As an admin, from your Office 365 tenant you will execute a PowerShell cmdlet. The cmdlet will be used to enable the gateway integration and add joining instructions to meeting invites.

Prequisites

Before you begin the setup, ensure that you:

  • have completed the StarLeaf consent form. Contact your StarLeaf partner or StarLeaf sales representative if you have not done this yet
  • have admin access to your Office 365 Tenant (this is required to execute a PowerShell cmdlet)
  • install Skype for Business Online, Windows PowerShell Module

How to set up the gateway integration

When you have reviewed the prerequisites and are ready to begin the setup:

  1. Run the following PowerShell commands in order. Note that some of these commands can take up to six hours to fully propagate within your Office 365 Tenant.
  2. # Starting the PowerShell Session {3 commands}

    $cred = Get-Credential YourEmailAddress@YourDomain.onmicrosoft.com
    $session = New-CsOnlineSession $cred
    Import-PSSession$session -AllowClobber

    # Initial Verification that the Service is Disabled {1 command}

    Get-CsTeamsVideoInteropServicePolicy

    # Setting up the BlueJeans Service and Confirming that it’s Set Correctly {2 commands}

    New-CsVideoInteropServiceProvider -Name BlueJeans -TenantKey TenantKeyProvidedByBlueJeans@teams.bjn.vc -InstructionUri https://support.bluejeans.com/knowledge/vtc-dial-in-options-for-teams
    Get-CsVideoInteropServiceProvider
  3. Enable the service for individual users or for your entire tenant using either of the two blocks of commands below.
  4. It is recommended to enable a test group of 10 users before enabling the entire tenant.

    # ENABLE USER – Enables the service for one specific user (overrides global policy) {2 commands}

    Grant-CsTeamsVideoInteropServicePolicy -PolicyName BlueJeansServiceProviderEnabled -Identity UserEmailAddress@YourDomain.onmicrosoft.com
    Get-CsOnlineUser -Identity UserEmailAddress@YourDomain.onmicrosoft.com | fl UserPrincipalName,TeamsVideoInteropServicePolicy

    # ENABLE ALL – Enables the service globally for your entire O365 Tenant {2 commands}

    Grant-CsTeamsVideoInteropServicePolicy -PolicyName BlueJeansServiceProviderEnabled -Global
    Get-CsTeamsVideoInteropServicePolicy

Optional configurations

The following configurations are additional, optional commands available to you as an O365 Admin. These are not required to complete the integration.

# DISABLE USER – Disables the service for one specific user (overrides global policy) {2 commands}

Grant-CsTeamsVideoInteropServicePolicy -PolicyName $null -Identity UserEmailAddress@YourDomain.onmicrosoft.com
Get-CsOnlineUser -Identity UserEmailAddress@YourDomain.onmicrosoft.com | fl UserPrincipalName,TeamsVideoInteropServicePolicy

# DISABLE ALL – the service globally for your entire O365 Tenant {2 commands}

Grant-CsTeamsVideoInteropServicePolicy -PolicyName $null -Global
Get-CsTeamsVideoInteropServicePolicy

# TRUSTED ROOMS – Allows VTC units to bypass the lobby and land directly in meetings, without requiring approval {1 command}

Note that the following functionality requires the Trusted Room feature be enabled for your Enterprise Group.

Set-CsVideoInteropServiceProvider -Identity BlueJeans -AadApplicationIds 363e7c1b-ca85-4765-bd62-f77a096c407d -AllowAppGuestJoinsAsAuthenticated $true

When the commands have propagated within Office 365, your group can test the service by looking for the appended BlueJeans dialing information in your Microsoft Teams meeting invites or calendar events.
