About the gateway integration

This page contains information about setting up the Microsoft Teams BlueJeans gateway on your organization’s tenancy. As an admin, from your Office 365 tenant you will execute a PowerShell cmdlet. The cmdlet will be used to enable the gateway integration and add joining instructions to meeting invites.

  • install Microsoft Teams PowerShell Module

How to set up the gateway integration

When you have reviewed the prerequisites and are ready to begin the setup, follow the instructions below.

  1. Open this Microsoft consent form as an admin for your Office 365 Tenant. A Microsoft Permissions window opens as shown in the image below.
  2. Click Accept to proceed. If the sync was successful, then you’ll be redirected to the BlueJeans homepage.
  3. Run the following PowerShell commands in order.
  4. In the commands, replace YourUserName, YourDomain, and UserName, and TenantKeyProvidedByStarLeaf with your organization’s details accordingly.

For example, if your email address is john.harvey@xampleco.com, you will enter john.harvey@xampleco.com for YourUserName@YourDomain.com

    Install-Module MicrosoftTeams
    Import-Module MicrosoftTeams
    $credential = Get-Credential
    Connect-MicrosoftTeams -Credential $credential

If your Microsoft admin account is enabled with Multi Factor authentication (MFA), use these commands instead (Skip Install-Module if the Teams Module is already installed):

  6. It is recommended to enable a test group of 10 users before enabling the entire tenant.

Grant-CsTeamsVideoInteropServicePolicy -PolicyName $null -Identity UserName@YourDomain
Get-CsOnlineUser -Identity <UserName@YourDomain> | fl <UserPrincipalName>,TeamsVideoInteropServicePolicy

Grant-CsTeamsVideoInteropServicePolicy -PolicyName $null -Global
Get-CsTeamsVideoInteropServicePolicy

When the commands have propagated within Office 365, your group can test the service by looking for the appended BlueJeans dialing information in your Microsoft Teams meeting invites or calendar events.
